PEOPLE WATCHING
These photographs focus on the theme of ‘space and place’, portraying how a space can become a significant place to someone, through the elements inhabiting it, and how people can occupy a space and allow it to become a meaningful place. The project initially focused on the seaside and the fun holiday image it creates. I wanted to incorporate a deeper focus on the individual narratives that could be told by each photograph, these personal stories let me create images that would formulate different ideas and beliefs of what a space could become or what it could have been. Each ‘character’ within each frame played a role which subsequently created a narrative in each photograph in the series.
